Christie served for 15 years as a Sworn Senior Law Enforcement Officer with the Chesapeake Sheriff's Office working tirelessly to make our community a safer place. She supports fully funding law enforcement and first responders to protect our families and neighborhoods.
Christie understands the value of students being connected through in-person learning. She was a member of the Chesapeake School Board for 12 years, serving as Chair from 2016-2020. Christie has ALWAYS supported parental rights in their children's education.
Christie has a family of public safety and military service. Her daughter is an Army veteran, her son is a firefighter, her son-in-law serves in the Coast Guard, and she served as a Law Enforcement Officer with the Chesapeake's sheriff's office. Christie is committed to making Virginia more military-friendly by reducing taxes for veterans and supporting programs for career transition into the private sector. She values the military and wants to keep them in a community that helps veterans and active-duty families.
Christie is devoted to funding more vocational training opportunities for high school students who want an alternative to college and adults looking for a career change or transitioning out of military service. Supporting tax reform to help working families keep more money in their pockets is a TOP priority.
